Sunday:

9:00-9:15am - Meet at McCarty Student Center for travel to Bible Class at the University Church of Christ Building
9:30am - Bible Class at the University Church of Christ Building - Topic for Spring: "The Life and Death of Christ "- Teacher: Trent Kennedy
10:30am - Worship at the University Church of Christ Building
11:30am - Lunch with Other College Students After Worship (Almost Always!)
6:00pm - Worship at the University Church of Christ Building
7:00pm - Dinner with Other College Students After Worship (Almost Always!)

Monday:

8:00pm - Evening Bible Class @ McCarty Student Center - Topic for Spring: "I & II Timothy" - Teacher: Trent Kennedy

Wednesday:

6:45pm - Meet at McCarty Student Center for travel to Bible Study at the University Church of Christ Building
7:00pm - "Focus" at the University Church of Christ Building - A mid-week time for singing and prayer before engaging in Bible Study.
7:30pm - Bible Class at the University Church of Christ Building - Topic for Spring: "A Topical Study of Proverbs" - Teacher: Andy Baker
8:30pm - Dinner with Other College Students After Bible Study (Almost Always!)

Thursday:

9:00pm - Student-Led Devotionals on the campus of Texas State University - Meet at McCarty Student Center (Sometimes these occur, weather permitting, on the steps of the library on campus.) The male student prepare the devotional, lead the songs and lead the prayers in a time of devotion to God.

Thank you for your interest in the University Church of Christ and our work with college students on the campus of Texas State University. The University congregation has had a long tradition with the university and the spiritual needs of college students. The congregation continues to support the work on campus at the McCarty Student Center. I invite you to link to the McCarty website for the student organization located at the bottom of this page. My wife, Lisa and I, are very excited to begin our association and work with the University Church of Christ, the McCarty Student Center, and the Bobcats for Christ student organization to help fulfill the spiritual needs of Texas State students. The Students' Relationship to the University Congregation:

Many of our membership are affiliated with Texas State University. Most are graduates, some are professors, and quite a few are current students. Our university students are encouraged to use the McCarty Student Center (which is an outreach of the University Church of Christ) as a "home away from home." Many of the students' activities are hosted there. This is a great place to "kick back", study, or any number of other things.

The congregation also uses an "adoption" program to allow the students and other members to get to know each other better. The students love the free food and friendships they gain within this program.

The students are also encouraged to play an active role in the congregation's work and also the worship assemblies. Each and every Sunday, those who have placed their membership with us are eligible to be used in the service in any capacity. Every "Fifth Sunday" the college age gentlemen present and manage the entire service on their own. This gives them a chance to grow and provides opportunities to preach God's word as well as leading in other aspects of worship.
