Wayne Jones


Wayne began his work here in May, 2007.  Wayne graduated from the Memphis School of Preaching in 1996 as the top Academic student. He is married to the former Shana Kaye Spacek. Together, they have four children, Hannah, Ashlyn, Bailey, and Karsyn. Wayne has also preached locally in Luxora, AR,  Newbern, TN and Southaven, MS.  He has worked extensively in Christian youth camp serving as a counselor and/or director for eleven years at Sardis Lake Christian Camp in Sardis, MS.  He has spoken on various lectureship programs such as Power, the Spiritual Sword and the Memphis School of Preaching Lectureship.  Wayne’s father (David B. Jones), father-in-law (Ricky Spacek) and brother-in-law (Daniel F. Cates) are also Gospel Preachers.


Youth & Family Minister- Jordan Moore


Jordan, native of Dripping Springs, TX, now resides in San Marcos, TX with his wife Erin and newborn son, Jackson. Jordan serves as the Youth and Family Minister at the University church of Christ in San Marcos, Texas. Though Jordan has been working and worshipping with the University congregation since 2008, Jordan has now been serving in the capacity of Youth Minister since May of 2015. He graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Biology in 2013 and was heavily involved in the ministry of the McCarty Student Center in his time as a student there. Jordan has spoken at various workshops including Discipleship University and Polishing the Pulpit. Jordan is also involved in other ministry avenues, including directing an annual youth summer camp and retreat, as well as assisting with the Bible Passages Ministry. Jordan has been involved in foreign mission work in Jamaica and Singapore.


Trent Kennedy

Trent Kennedy serves as the Executive Director of the McCarty Student Center on the campus of Texas State University where he works as Campus Minister. Trent began full-time work with University congregation and college students in July of 2007 immediately after graduating from the Southwest School of Bible Studies.

He is married to the former Lisa Veazey, and they have two daughters, Ella and Annie, and two sons, Troy and Luke. Trent holds a master’s degree in public administration from Texas State and a bachelor's degree from Angelo State University with a double major in Communications and Psychology. While in college, Trent began to preach on a fill-in and as-needed basis in and around San Angelo. He has worked locally with the Upton, TX Church of Christ; worked with college-aged students in San Angelo, TX; conducted mission work in the US; and participated in foreign mission efforts in Mexico, Cambodia, and Jamaica. Each year Trent has coordinated and led evangelistic campaigns in Jamaica. Trent spends his days with the Texas State University students at the McCarty Student Center teaching Bible Classes and overseeing devotionals and social activities.
